Abstract

New rehabilitation profession and occupational planning are very important for young minds. The aim of this study is to assess what career plans and expectations of vocational high school students. The study is made up of students from in Harran University Hilvan Vocational. 197 samples with the ability to represent the universe were reached with an error rate of 5 %. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS 18 packet program. Career planning questions with Explanatory Factor Analysis were collected under one component. One-Way ANOVA and Independent Samples T Test including the test of the difference between independent groups were applied. According to the results of the analysis, no significant difference was observed between career perception and career change in the sub-components of the programs that students read and career planning. Moreover, no significant difference was found between the subscales of career perception and career change, as well as whether they had chosen their current programs with their own will. However, a significant difference was confirmed between the career perceptions of students according to sex. Ultimately, there was a significant difference between the classes of students and career change.
