Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the entrepreneurship tendencies and characteristics of Health Management Department students in terms of some socio-demographic variables. In this context, students from Health Management Department who have undergraduate education at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University and İstanbul Gelişim University are determined as research universe. In order to obtain data, the entrepreneurship scale developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) for university students was used. The obtained data were divided into sub-dimensions by “Exploratory Factor Analysis” using SPSS (Statistical Package For The Social Science) Version 22 program. “T Test and Anova” were used to examine whether the sub-dimensions significantly differed in terms of socio-demographic characteristics of the participants. In addition, whether there is a significant relationship between the sub-dimensions was determined by the analysis of "Pearson Correlation". According to research findings, some of the entrepreneurship scale sub-dimensions were found to be significantly different in terms of the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants. In addition, as a result of correlation analysis, it was determined that there is a linear and positive relationship between subscales which can be evaluated as entrepreneurial personality traits.
