Abstract

Together with the changes in the customer expectations in globalizing world, housing industry has entered into the domination of customers from the vendors. In the light of these developments, housing marketers endeavor to establish customer satisfaction by fulfilling customer desires and needs as well as to gain profit. The way to stand out among the rivals especially in the housing industry is to understand customer demands well and to follow customer-oriented strategies. From this point of view, we tried to analyze the factors influencing the housing choices of consumers in Turkey in this study. With the study, we have determined by the frequency analysis that the most significant factor consumers prefer is sun-exposed house, followed by "social opportunities" in their choices. In addition, the analysis has demonstrated that age, marital status, income level and sex among the demographic data influence the housing choice.
