Abstract

Municipal service quality is generally measured by citizen satisfaction. According to expectations, service quality varies from person to person. Citizens' satisfaction affects many variables such as education, income and gender. In this study, it was aimed to measure the satisfaction of women from municipal environmental services. In order to reach this aim, in 2018, face-to-face interviews were held with 414 women residing in Çorum province. Women's satisfaction with the municipal environmental services is addressed from six different perspectives. In the study, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to test whether the variables were normally distributed. Since the variables were not normally distributed, a non-parametric test, Spearman's Rho correlation, and Mann Whitney U test were used for the analysis. As a result of the research, a significant relationship was found between satisfaction with the municipal services and waste collection activities. Besides, the frequency of waste collection and environmental street cleaning were also significant. According to Mann Whitney U test results; In general, there were significant differences in terms of occupation, neighborhood and car ownership with the satisfaction of municipal services (P <0.05). It was determined that 75% of the participants were satisfied with the services of the municipality in general.
