Journal of Academic Value Studies (JAVStudies) supports the ethical and transparent use of artificial intelligence-based tools in scholarly publishing processes. This policy outlines the fundamental principles governing the use of artificial intelligence in manuscripts submitted to the journal.
The scientific content, originality, and accuracy of manuscripts remain entirely the responsibility of the authors. Artificial intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors, and academic responsibility cannot be delegated to such systems.
Artificial intelligence tools may be used as supportive tools for the following purposes:
• Language and style editing
• Spelling and grammar checking
• Translation support
• Technical formatting and editing
• Assistance in data related processes
Such uses must not replace the scientific interpretation, original academic contribution or research conclusions of the study.
If authors use an artificial intelligence-based tool during the preparation of their manuscript, this use must be clearly declared in the “Declaration regarding the use of artificial intelligence” section of the article.
The following practices are considered ethical violations:
• Presenting AI generated text as article content without proper attribution
• Generating fabricated data, analyses or references
• Listing artificial intelligence as an author
• Preparing peer review reports using artificial intelligence tools or uploading confidential manuscript content to artificial intelligence systems
If such violations are detected, the manuscript will be removed from the evaluation process.
JAVStudies reserves the right to apply necessary verification and review procedures to identify AI-generated content. When necessary, the editorial team may request additional clarification from the authors.
This policy may be updated by the editorial board of the journal in line with developments in artificial intelligence technologies.
