Abstract
Birey üzerindeki yüksek şekillendirici etkilerinden ötürü fazlaca araştırma konusu olan kitlelerin ayrı bir psikolojisi olduğu bulgusu genel kabul görmektedir. Kitlelerin gücünden faydalanan, tarihsel kökleri çok gerilere gitse de yüzyılımızda küresel ölçekte etkili bir fenomen haline gelen terörizm, insan gruplarından teşkil olması yönüyle politik psikolojinin ilgi alanına girmektedir. Psikoloji, politika ve toplumun kesişme noktası olan politik psikolojinin paradigmalarını kullanan terörizm; faaliyetlerinin öznesini etkilemek, eylemlerini sürdürmek ve kitleleri varlığından haberdar etmek için politik psikolojik öğeleri kullanmaktadır. Terörizme doğrudan ya da dolaylı şekilde maruz kalan Türkiye’de terörizmin psikolojik arka planı ve temel motivasyonlarının anlaşılması, bu sorunun bertaraf edilmesinde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışma, terörizm psikolojisi çerçevesinde Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê (Kürdistan İşçi Partisi – PKK) terör örgütü faaliyetlerinin politik psikoloji, spesifik olarak da kitle psikolojisi üzerinden okunmasını amaç edinmiştir. Politik psikoloji ve kitle psikolojisi literatüründen faydalanarak PKK faaliyetlerinde kullanılan kitle psikolojisi teknikleri, nitel teknikler ve literatür taramasına dayalı analizlerle ortaya konmuştur. Çalışma, PKK’nın kitle psikolojisi açısından değerlendirilmesi ile bu alana bir kaynak olma gayesi gütmektedir.

Abstract
Because of their high framing effects on the individual, the masses are the subject of much research and the finding that they have a different psychology is generally accepted. Terrorism, which benefits from the power of the masses and has become an influential phenomenon on a global scale in our century, although its historical roots go far back, is of interest to political psychology in terms of being a group of people. Terrorism, which uses the paradigms of political psychology, which is the intersection of psychology, politics and society, uses political psychological elements to influence the subject of its activities, maintain its actions and inform the masses of its existence. Understanding the psychological background and basic motivations of terrorism in Turkey, which is directly or indirectly exposed to terrorism, plays an important role in eliminating this problem. The aim of this study is to read the activities of the Partiya Karkerên Kurdistan (PKK) terrorist organization through political psychology and, in particular, mass psychology within the framework of the psychology of terrorism. Using the literature of political psychology and mass psychology, the methods of mass psychology used in PKK activities were revealed by qualitative techniques and analysis based on literature review. The study aims to be a resource in this field by evaluating the PKK from the point of view of mass psychology.
