Journal of Academic Value Studies (JAVStudies) is an open-access academic journal that provides free online access to all published content. The journal does not charge subscription fees and published articles are not sold. To support the operational costs of the journal, a non-refundable article submission fee is required at the time of submission, regardless of whether the manuscript is accepted or rejected.
No additional fees are charged for article acceptance, peer review, publication, or DOI assignment. The submission fee does not influence the editorial decision, and all manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.
For detailed information about the submission fee, please see the Article Submission Fee page.
Manuscripts submitted to JAVStudies must adhere to the formatting guidelines provided by the journal. Articles that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors for revision and re-upload.
Additionally, abstracts and texts written in non-native languages must undergo professional proofreading before submission to ensure clarity and accuracy.
For detailed information on the writing guidelines, please refer to the Formatting Guidelines section.
Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to JAVStudies must first register and upload their articles via javstudies.com. Once a manuscript is uploaded to the JAVStudies system, it is officially considered submitted, and the evaluation process begins.
All stages of the publication process—from submission to final publication—are conducted entirely online. For detailed instructions on registration and manuscript submission, please refer to the Submission Guide.
Articles submitted to the JAVStudies system first undergo a preliminary evaluation to ensure compliance with the journal’s aims, scope, publication principles, ethical standards, and formatting guidelines. This initial screening is conducted by the editorial office and the editor-in-chief.
Manuscripts that do not meet the required standards may be returned to the authors for revision or declined before being sent for peer review.
Once a manuscript meets the journal’s publication principles, writing guidelines, scope, and ethical standards during the preliminary evaluation, it is assigned to at least two expert reviewers. JAVStudies applies a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript in terms of its academic quality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected. If one reviewer recommends acceptance and the other recommends rejection, the manuscript may be sent to a third reviewer.
For detailed information about the peer review process, please refer to the Peer Review Policy page.
In order to verify that submitted manuscripts do not contain plagiarism, authors are required to upload a similarity report generated by internationally recognized similarity detection software when submitting their manuscripts. Similarity reports are evaluated by the responsible editor, and manuscripts containing plagiarism or excessive similarity are not considered for review.
For detailed information, please refer to the Plagiarism and Similarity Detection page.
JAVStudies supports the ethical and transparent use of artificial intelligence tools in the scholarly publishing process; however, full academic responsibility remains with the authors, and AI cannot be listed as an author.
AI may be used only for supportive purposes and must be clearly disclosed. The use of AI-generated text without citation, fabrication of data or sources, and preparing peer review reports with AI constitute ethical violations.
For detailed information on artificial intelligence (AI) usage, please see the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy page.
Authors may appeal reviewer decisions if they believe there are compelling reasons. Appeals will be evaluated by the editorial team, and if deemed necessary, additional reviewers may be consulted.
The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the evaluations provided by the reviewers and the recommendations of the editors.
Authors can monitor the status of their manuscript through their membership accounts on the JAVStudies platform.
