Roles of the Editorial Board



Editor-in-Chief

 

Ensures that scientific publications in the journal are regularly maintained in a healthy manner by adhering to the publication policy of the journal. In coordination with the Managing Editor, he/she manages the process of publishing academic articles in regular and continuous relationship with the Co-Editors, Subject Editors and Editorial Board. Together with the Managing Editor and Co-Editors, he/she works to improve the quality and reputation of the journal. At the pre-evaluation stage, he/she checks whether the articles are within the scope and purpose of the journal in coordination with the field editors. At the publication stage of the articles, it makes the final decision by taking into account the decisions of the referees and, when necessary, the opinions of the editorial board. In line with the journal's editorial policy and publication ethics, it carefully checks whether the editors, authors and referees fulfill their responsibilities and ensures that the publication is carried out in accordance with the rules. Manages the relations and processes with national and international indexes deemed necessary by the Managing Editor to index the journal and receives support from associate editors when deemed necessary. Represents the journal in academic societies.

 

 

Managing Editor

 

Formulates the publication strategy and editorial policy of the journal. It checks whether the coordination and functioning between editors, referees and authors are carried out properly during the publication process. Checks the compatibility between the published works and the journal's policy. Conducts research on the promotion, reputation, quality and publication processes of the journal and coordinates with the Editor-in-Chief to increase the academic level of the journal on these issues. If there is a problem, error or deficiency in these matters, he/she informs the Editor-in-Chief. Carries out the necessary work to ensure that the basic publication principles of the publishing organization are coordinated with the publication principles of the journal. Checks the effectiveness of the journal's technical infrastructure, web design and publishing processes, checks its accessibility and works with the publishing organization to improve these processes. Determines the indexes in which the journal should be indexed and works with the Editor-in-Chief on this issue. Represents the journal in institutional relations.

 

 

Co-Editors-in-Chief

 

They take an active role in the publication processes of the journal by supporting the Editor-in-Chief. Controls the referee assignment process of the articles by the field editors and is in constant communication with the field editors to avoid any delays or problems. Assists the Editor-in-Chief in the final evaluation of the manuscript processes when the Editor-in-Chief deems necessary. Follows the process between the field editors and the authors for the timely publication of the journal. Checks whether the articles are in compliance with the publication policy, publication strategy and the quality standards set by the journal and informs the Editor-in-Chief when necessary. The Editor-in-Chief actively supports the indexing processes of the journal when deemed necessary. Represent the journal in academic societies and index studies when deemed necessary by the Editor-in-Chief.

 

 

Advisory Board


Makes recommendations to the Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief in the formulation of the journal's editorial policies. Provides opinions and makes proposals in making long-term strategic decisions and developing publication processes. In case of any problem related to academic publishing, it provides opinions upon the request of the Managing Editor or Editor-in-Chief. Contributes to increasing the reputation of the journal in the academic community.

 

 

Subject Editors

 

Since the scope of the journal is economics, politics, business administration, finance and management, and since each main discipline has sub-disciplines, field editors have been appointed in the journal. Field editors are academics specialized in the relevant field. The field editors first check the articles in terms of field, scope and form, assign referees who are experts in the same field to the articles that meet these conditions, and follow the referee processes. In case of any problems related to the process, they inform the assistant editors and ask for their support. They also inform the Editor-in-Chief when necessary and support the Editor-in-Chief in improving the publication processes and raising the level of publication.

 

 

Editorial Board

 

Plays an active role in the formulation of the journal's editorial policy and publication strategy upon the request of the Managing Editor. In cases where the Editor-in-Chief has the final decision-making authority, he/she expresses his/her opinion when the editorial board is consulted together with other editors. Monitors the academic level of the journal, the language and format of the articles, the publication processes and the compliance or non-compliance with publication ethics, expresses his/her opinions and ensures that necessary measures are taken. Suggests strategies for the development of the journal and proposes new policies, if any.
