Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

The Journal of Academic Value Studies (JAVStudies) supports the ethical and transparent use of artificial intelligence–based tools in academic publishing. This policy defines the basic principles regarding the use of AI tools in manuscripts submitted to the journal.

1. Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and scientific integrity of their manuscripts. AI systems cannot be listed as authors, and academic responsibility cannot be transferred to any AI tool.

2. Permitted Uses

AI-based tools may be used as supportive instruments for the following purposes:

  • Language editing and proofreading
  • Grammar and spelling correction
  • Translation support
  • Technical formatting and organization
  • Assistance in data analysis

Such use must not replace the authors’ intellectual and scientific contribution.

3. Disclosure Requirement

If AI tools are used at any stage of manuscript preparation, authors must clearly declare this in the manuscript. The name of the tool and the purpose of its use should be briefly stated.

4. Prohibited Practices

The following practices are considered ethical violations:

  • Presenting AI-generated text as original content without proper acknowledgment
  • Producing fabricated data, analyses, or references using AI tools
  • Listing AI systems as authors
  • Preparing peer-review reports using AI tools

Manuscripts found to involve such violations will be rejected.

5. Editorial Authority

JAVStudies reserves the right to apply appropriate methods and tools to detect AI-generated content. When necessary, authors may be asked to provide further clarification.

6. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised by the Editorial Board in accordance with developments in artificial intelligence technologies.
