Abstract

There are lots of study that have been done seperately in the field of organisation theory and organizational behaviour. This research examines the relationship between institutional logic, which is one of the basics of institutional theory (one of the significant organizational theories), and organizational structure and organizational culture, both of which are key issues in organizational behavior. This research basically puts forward that institutional logics is the main actor behind organisations’ structure, process and behaviours, The main purpose of this study is to research the interaction between structure and culture in organizations that have different institutional logics. Healthcare industry is the practice area of this study. Because former studies show that there are several institutional causes of the education, military and healthcare industry in Turkey (business-like logic, market logic, public services logic). Survey data is obtained by staff members of public and private hospitals in Mugla actively in service through survey method. As a result of analysis 393 survey form, institutional logic, organizational structure and organizational culture levels of individual perception acording to the variables of the institution (state, private and education-research), position (doctor, nurse, healthcare technician, general administrative) and working status (657, contracted and 2547), appeared to be different.
