In parallel with the change in society, the role of the leaders has also changed. There are many types of leadership, and political leadership has a decisive influence on society and the future of the world. There are many features that distinguish the leaders from others, and one of them is the charisma. When the Turkish political history is examined, it is seen that a significant part of the political party leaders are brought to the forefront by some features of the people and the press, in particular the charismatic side. Considering the recent preferences of the Turkish people, it is undeniable that Recep Tayyip Erdogan is one step ahead of other leaders. In this study, it is aimed to examine the charismatic leadership qualities from the leadership qualities possessed by recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In line with this aim, data were obtained by using the questionnaire method between December 2016 and March 2017 in Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep. During the study, a total of 300 people were interviewed face to face. The questionnaire comes in two parts and questions about the demographic characteristics in the first part and questions about the charismatic leadership qualities of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the second part. As a result of the study, it was seen that most of the participants liked Recep Tayyip Erdogan's leadership very much. It has been seen that the most effective of the participants' charismatic leadership qualities is the "having the ability to have strong persuasion" and the least effective is the "having a revolutionary mind, a superior image or ideal".},author={Yunus VURAN-& İbrahim Sani MERT},year={2017},journal={Journal of Academic Value Studies (JAVStudies)}}
