Analysis of Visitor E-Reviews for Şanlıurfa’s Tourist Attractiveness: Tripadvisor Example

The aim of this study is to identify the positive and negative aspects of the city's tourist attractions by using the e-comments of the visitors who visit Sanliurfa and leave comments on the Tripadvisor website. In the study, case study method was used among qualitative approach. The research includes those who visit Şanlıurfa in 2016 and make comments on the Tripadvisor website. In the analysis of the data, content analysis was used among qualitative data analysis techniques. As a result of the content analysis, it was understood that those who visited Şanlıurfa gave high scores on the tourist attraction of the city and reached the result that they emphasized more positive aspects of the tourist attraction. Visitors to Şanlıurfa made the most comment about Balıklıgöl, which became the symbol of the city, while the highest scores were given to Şanlıurfa Archeology and Mosaic Museum and Göbeklitepe. On the other hand, it is highly recommended to see the Sanliurfa Archeology and Mosaic Museum. The average satisfaction rating of the city is 4.59, which is a sign that visitors to Şanlıurfa are satisfied with their visit to the tourist attractions. In addition, since Harran Kümbet Houses, Şuayb Ancient City, Hz. Eyyüp holy see and Birecik Kelaynak Producing Farm receive very few comments, it has been proposed to intensify tourism activities for these attraction elements.
