Abstract

Nutrition is a requirement that must be provided for the survival of human beings. However, the emergence of various diseases related to nutrition in this century we live and the increasing number of questions about the contents of food products cause consumers to be more selective to eat healthy. The scam in the food products, which is seen frequently in various media organs in recent years, reveals how right consumers are in these searches. Consumers prefer food products produced in healthier and natural conditions in this process. Especially in rural areas and natural conditions, food products produced in recent years stand out with the naturalness of consumers in these quests. Consumers are trying to meet natural and healthy food searches in various market areas such as organic market, natural market, peasant market. As a result, rural food consumption is continuously growing. The sustainability of this growth is the way consumers perceive perceptions of rural food products. With this study, it is aimed to learn the perceptions of consumers about rural food products. For this purpose, a face-to-face survey was conducted on a total of 390 participants determined by the simple random sampling method that resides in the center of Konya in March and April 2017. As a result of the research, SPSS statistics program was used in the analysis of the data obtained.
