Abstract

In the majority of the research on the job search process, the job search process was described as a simple linear process consisting of sequential stages (Van Hooft, Wanberg & Van Hoye, 2013, Blau, 1994; Soelberg, 1967). In response to general trends, this study suggests that the job search process is a complex process. First of all, the theory of complexity is mentioned. The concept of "complex" is explained by comparing it with the concept of "simple". These concepts are exploited while explaining the complexity of the job search process. Reducing the job search process to a simplistic approach to a reductionist approach leads to fallacy and frustration in terms of those seeking jobs and those seeking to change jobs. It is possible to say that job search has emerged with the industrial revolution, it is a simpler process in those years, and today, this process is not simply a qualification. Complexity as a scientific discipline from the physics is in the midst of many scientific disciplines today. The job search process is coincidental, open to surprise, the multiplicity of the factors that affect the process, and the facts that reveal the camouflage of the process where many different factors depend on reaching the goal. These topics will also be included in the study.
