Abstract

Psychological contract is a set of mental expectations which is unwritten, may change over time, based on reciprocity basis, established by individual, emerged to describe the employment relationship between the employer and the employee, explaining individual and the organization's expectations and realize situation in the business relationship. The aim of this research is to determine the level of psychological contract expectations, the satisfaction and violation of the health care workers working in the public hospitals sector, and to examine them according to some socio-demographic variables. The study of the population has been created healthcare services professionals (physicians, nurses / health officers, midwives, health engineers / technicians; N=5.112) at Association of public hospitals and university medical faculty hospitals which operating in center of Gaziantep City. 776 people of in this universe (20,54%) were questionnaire. The study's datas were collected at between January-April 2015. The datas assessed using methods frequency and percentage analysis, factor analysis, difference between the two means test, analysis of variance in SPSS 15.0 software and it is taken as the level of statistical error of 0.05. According to the results of the research, the average of the psychological contract expectations of health workers (max: 6, min: 1) 5.19 ± 0.94; Institutional coverage level of these expectations were 2.55 ± 1.09; The average violation of psychological contract was 2.77 ± 1.48 determined. In addition, physicians' expectations of psychological contracts and psychological contract violations are lower than nurses, midwives and health technicians; It was found that physicians' satisfaction level of psychological contract institution was higher than nurses and health technicians (p>0.001).
