Abstract

Commercial business’ founding purpose operating in the world market is to achieve the highest profit from continuing operations. Companies are implementing various strategies in order to maximize their profit and to achieve this objective. These strategies vary according to the sector in which the company. Two important strategies commonly used by businesses that increase capacity and pricing divisions. Service industries such as air transport and hospitality are not possible capacity building in the short time so they are required to use their current capacity effectively and sell them with the best price. In line with this, aim of thesis is determination the application and significance levels of revenue management in the hotel enterprises and the extent to which the revenue management tools used and revenue management applications are productive or not for hotels. For this purpose, in this study it performed on four and five star hotels in Izmir. The survey was used as a data collection tool and analyzed by statistical program before interpreted. According to the results of the study, early reservation and price differentiation are the most used income management tools in income management applications in the present case. Furthermore, although the level of application of overbooking is the lowest in income management instruments, the level of importance is high.
