Abstract

The Middle East has always been a magnet for foreign intervenes. By this view, in the Middle East that looked like a boiling witch-pot for centuries the Palestine issue had arisen as one of the most prominent troubles which came up during the last century of Ottoman Empire. Ottoman Sultan II. Abdulhamid, who adopted various modernization efforts during this period as well as dealing with many foreign debts and inner/outer security problems, is one of the prominent Sultans of the 19th-century-Ottoman era. The Jewish problem, which arose in the 19th century due to oppression and persecution in Europa and Russia for centuries, turned into a different pose following their mass migrations to the Ottoman-territory Palestine. The Ottoman Empire, which observed closely Jewish migration and foreign politics regarding Palestine, tried to prevent this migration and in this context, Sultan II. Abdulhamid changed his politics towards region by examining the developments in Palestine. The main aim of this study is to explore in-depth the rising of Palestine issue, development and related administrative partition, population and economics politics
