Abstract

In this study, the environmental effects of further growth aimed at developed and developing countries were investigated. The study based on 25 The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) developed and developing countries. A common set of 25 years of data from 1990 to 2014 has been examined. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as dependant variable, carbon monoxide (CO), nitric acid (NO) and primary energy supply were used as independant variables. The panel data method was used in the study and it was researched whether The Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) is valid as well as the relationship between energy consumption and environmental degradation in those years in these countries. As a result of the tests made, it has been seem that the approach of the EKC is valid in the mentioned countries.
