Abstract

Vocational colleges (Vocational Schools) play an important role to supply the need for skilled intermediate workers in labor markets. This requires a program to meet through a teaching period a 3+1 education model appears as an appropriate approach today. The purpose of this research, to measure the level of job offers made to the students in the 1-semester internship activity applied after 3 semesters in vocational schools and to evaluate students' thoughts about these job offers. This research has been realized with a questionnaire consisting of 6 questions and a Likert answer on 234 students in four programs Pamukkale University Honaz Vocational High School. All the findings will be evaluated with the monthly income of the family, residence status with family, academic average, amount of the monthly spending, demographic components etc. According to the findings obtained after the analysis, 37,7% of the students wanted to be employed a long time by the employers. 45.2% of the students declare that they may work after graduation at the workplace they made the training. According to these findings, the model still has an employment creation capacity of 37.7% even during the internship ( training ) stage. On-the-job training to be carried out on the ground that the family resides have an incentive to encourage acknowledging of the job offer.
