Abstract

The concept of burnout was first introduced by Freudenberg in 1974. In the health sector as well as in many sectors, human resources have an important place in the production of goods and services. Today, countries need human power to provide planning, organizing, directing, coordination and control of health services. The fact that health services are a profession that is carried out on a face-to-face basis and that there is not a certain standardization in the production of health services, globalization that takes place in business life, intense work tempo, specialization and more complex structure of work it raises. In order to provide an effective and efficient health care service, it is necessary to prevent or minimize the occurrence of burnout syndrome in employees. This situation is very important for the quality of the service provided. This study is a quantitative research; It is aimed to determine and examine burnout levels of health personnel working in emergency health services in Kahramanmaraş city center.
